Since art and design go hand in hand rather than post a copy of a rather lengthy article on midcenturymoderngroovy.com titled “Victorian to Modern“, I have decided to include a link here if you are so interested. This article is about the conversion of a room from Victorian to modern to contrast the difference and maybe gain some insight about the periods and of interior design in general. Also, various works of art are included in the conversion. I thought some of the readers here might find this of interest.
As a note, in the future possibly an article on Victorian domestic interiors would be of interest. It is absolutely amazing the number of styles available to the Victorians such as Greek Revival, Georgian, Baroque, Romanesque, Gothic Revival, and so forth.
